Merlin is dead, and his familiar, believing him murdered, has called in PI Mace to uncover the truth. Mace will travel into the Hinterlands, a realm of fantasy locked off from our own, where he will contest with his own sanity, ride dragons, meet strange creatures and fight to resolve a case someone would kill to stop him solving.
